We need more articles like this waking people up to the destructiveness of partisanship. The propaganda machines are well oiled in our society and few are immune to their effect. I have a website devoted to this problem--www.propfreeamerica.org. We need a grassroots effort to educate people on the destructiveness of partisanship. The political parties and media are invested in having it continue. It is up to us. Thanks for the thoughts.

I have been particularly interested in healing the divide in partisanship in this country. Kudos to your efforts to get people involved in community service in a meaningful way. I have a website devoted to the healing of partisanship and waking people up to their susceptibility to propaganda--www.propfreeamerica.org. Keep up the good work.

You are correct in large part and make an important point. However, grief is more then the purifying fire - it is a time machine and a journey into the relationship. That knowledge of the other who has passed as well as never passed and of oneself is the continued and lonely road of enlightenment. Punctuated by the realization of the different form and the undying love that surrounds one and transmutes one even in death, uniting everything and everyone in the sea of life. It is these brief moments of peaceful revelation that transcend the bounds of life and death, space and time and knowledge. It is in these moments that fear and loneliness do not exist.

Thank you for this comment, Bennett. As I finish my book on resilience, I keep coming back to my conversations with Bob ("Coach") to highlight key points. Feel free to add more of your insights here as the readers would benefit from your experience of his example. If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to talk with you at your convenience to get a deeper appreciation of your 51 years of friendship with Bob. Let me know if it would be ok to call you.

I have known Bob Castrignano for 51 years. From Little League Baseball to present day. Your words of Bob could not be more on point. Bob as a boy stood out amongst the group displaying a mature sense of integraty well beyond his years. He himself does not fully understand how his everyday approach to life gives the people around him the inner strength to do the right thing. To love, care, honor and respect those around him but to never faulter in the face of being truthful. I am proud to call him my friend. Bob is simly the standard by which all men should be measured.

Hi Frank. It doesn't seem to be on this end. No music was programmed into the site and none is playing when I am on it. It doesn't seem to be affecting at least one other user I've checked with. I'm not sure what is going on that would result in you hearing music. Maybe you have two windows open at the same time and one has a sound track?
